Friday, August 29, 2008 (all of my days i will sing your praises) SMR was held at boomber 79 (if i rmb correctly), beside Grace Methodist Church. Inside is really cool. With 4 classrooms, a game room and a living room at the second level and at the first level, there is a mini kitchen and a pool table and a table soccer. 0_0 Cool place to be. Hahaha.. So basically, pool was an everyday thing from early in the morning before brushing teeth till midnight. Hahaa, then table soccer is a noisy game. Haha. That is where you really realise how screamming makes the world go round. And there is a little mini peddaling car, which was converted somehow into a go-kart human-powered vehicle. Only Melodie can take up the thrill. Haha, Sarah end up falling and the car went vertically up. Hahahaha. While Michele was begging 'stop'. Hehehe. But so funny. Great exercise eh. Hahaha. During the word, our group are also the group which always end off the sharing the lastest - considering with Dillon and Justin in the group, that is quite all rite. Hehehe. But its quite interesting also, haha. What we discussed. And how the discussion can go to another topic and well, we never finish the questions given except for the last word session where an effort was made to do the questions before discussion first. Hahaha. And I had to lead it twice. Somehow.... LOL. Then there was the praise and worship at the last nite, was good, heh, I am sure people encountered Jesus. Amen :) There was also "Tuesday with Morrie". See Da Jie told you this movie is meant for you. Glad you talked to her. *giggles* And I took out 2 questions 1) Are we living life to its fullest? 2) Are we being Authentic? Hahahahahaha. Then we played pool and talked and jammed and felt hungry and wanted go buy food. And after buying, i was like OMG, its 4 am. I tot its lik 2 something nia. Hahahaha. Then Winnie was like also playing guitar hero and first time see her get hook unto that game. Hahah. The rocker side of Winnie. Lols. Bought Instant noodles, Chicken Pie and strawberry milk. Cause duck rice was quite little I guess, anyway time jus seem to pass very fast. Haha. Will be working the week after poly summit at a factory. For 3 weeks, Mon to Fri, 9am ++ to 11pm. Long hours, so haiz, guess I will disappear from the world a little while. If you get what I mean. Haiz, dont want work lei, but my dad want me work there. Lols. Quite alot things to look forward to. And, you know I have a feeling this holi will be the fastest holi somehow. Haha. Meeting Caleb tomorrow at Sentosa. Retreat with God together. Need to take a break and just reflect spiritually. Yea. Looking forward to tomorrow. Haha. Gonna slp soon later. Heh. Have been slping for about 6 hours for e last few days. Its lik whoa, so many things. Will be looking for a job also. Got lik ST Meeting and SM Retreat on the first week, then second week is the Poly summit and the breakthrough prayer. Then there is the yearly crusade camp as well. Whoohoo, looking forward to it. Last year's camp was a blast. I am sure this year, God is going to make it even better. This period of time is a period of trials as well. Been getting tempted in ways and struggling. Hard to concentrate on studying as well. I just started playing Yuri's Revenge again. This time, I installed new Soviet and Allied missions - 7 each. Not bad actually, quite fun but well, its distracting. No idea how do. In times like this (especially during exams) you can choose to panic and run about asking for help or you can swing your hands cooly and say "well, jus give them the marks". LOL!!! Ciao.. 0 comments Sunday, August 10, 2008 (all of my days i will sing your praises) I need to learn to fix my eyes upoon Jesus. And the things of the earth will grow strangly dim =) Just like to share something with you, I was yesterday at a lost for a while, I found myself envying the gifts given to one of my frene, we were talking and I realised she spent alot of time with God, somehow I related the following: Gift X is given because one have a good relationship with God, and because one spend alot of time with God, hence the ability to possess and use Gift X will be there automatically. I then wonder because I look at my frene. She spend alot of time with God, so much more than me, and also, to receive Gift X, to do the task God gave to her. So I strived to reach her standard, to be worthy of receiving those gifts. But I realised that I couldnt do it, or it felt impossible to reach that. So I felt lousy, unable to reach that standard, and I wondered if God will still love me....... Sounds very rubbish huh, but isnt it amazing how this kind of things can shake us. Anyway was praying and asking God, because I dunno what I am feeling also. Then I realised, just as what my frene said, to keep my focus on God, like Matthew 6:33, to seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness. Yea.. And I saw 2 photos in my room which spoke so deeply to me. The words just pop out into my heart, and I was lik whoa.   And I just know, that God will give me what I asked, if its his will, I do not need to worry about why it isnt coming but to fix my eyes upon him. And its the same for everyone. How amazing is our creator. Its rather hard to place in words yep, but frankly speaking, everyone can feel his love at the same time, as if meant for themselves but yet its the same to everybody. And somehow, there is no feelings of jealously or dispute because of one getting more love than the others. Everyone somehow are "contended" with what they have. Simply amazing. Well, thats what heaven will be like i guess - where that love is so pure. Where we will be able to give that same love to each other. Reached home at 12 30 yesterday, skipping class till 1pm. Lol. (Clearing Leave - as one of my church frene calls it) Was great, Sermon was great too. The first day was from Acts 9:31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord. There are 4 points drawn out from here on how to have a healthy church, 1) Peace Having peace with God, Having peace with one another. Going up to the person who offended you to reconcile and resolve the conflict. When kids fight, you know who the parents will side on? They dont side on anybody. They will just say, "Stop fighting, we are one family...." Yea, Don't you think this is the same for our heavenly Father as well? 2) Encouragement Look in the good of one another and speak it ouit to encourage one another. Express it out. Dont keep it to yourself. Who knows what you are thinking. Really, affirm each other. Encouragement is food for the soul. See what the person could become, not what he/she is now. Speak not jus to build up what they have but to their potential. When seeing something out of place in somebody, speak the truth in love. Everyone has a weakness, the sooner you fix it the better. Feedback will not be easy but its also part of an encouragement. It may hurt at first, but it allows that person to be the best they can be. So which one you will choose? Haha.. 3) Comfort Bad things happen to some people. We need to draw from God's comfort. We must always have that attitude: "God will set me free. But if He Don't, we will still trust in him." God may not be always fair, but he is always good. Rememeber that. The holy spirit have all the resources we need when we dunno what to do. But he will only come when we call. Life can be a struggle. But sometimes, your needs can be a gift to somebody. We need to learn how to be open so that God can channel help through the person listening to you. Remember, a healthy church is also a church of comfort. 4) Fear of the Lord Its not being afraid of God. It is knowing that God is with you all the time, whenever you go. And when you know this, You will start to think twice before doing something wrong. We need to always learn this. He is always watching us and will hold us accountable for the wrong we does. Obedience is the ultimate act of worship. As the bible says in John 14:15, "If you love me keep my commandments ." It also says in Exodus 20:20, "....God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning." Yea, so walk the talk, do what you say, live with integrity. I didnt go for second day, so no notes.. Hahaaaha. =p The Last day (Day 3), They obtained alot of verse for this topic, "Living for Eternity" yea.. So wont put all of them, only some (well i forgot some also...heh) If you choose the pleasures of the world, you can be as rich, as cool, as whatever. But if you dunno God, you will have something missing for eternity. Therefore, 1) Do things which alst for eternity 2) Love people Gift, anointing, money dont last forever. Only love last forever, if you dont have that, but have all the world, you are nothing (1 Corinthians 13:1-3, 14) We see people all around us, out of 10, how many we rate them? But did you kno, Jesus rated a 10/10 for everyone of them including us? Even the worse sinners. So, treat people as how Jesus would. 3) Invest your time and talent into the work of God, make the world a better place. Ephesians 2:10 Jesus said the key to life is serving. And in serving you find fulfillment. Because its more blessed to give than to receive. (Its tested - by some group of people btw) Be a Servant. We need everyone in chruch to serve if we are to win the fight. Dont be a spectator, be a participant. Realise everything came from God, we did not earn it. This is our time e race, as a church.
